Turning To the Light

You enhance your self worth and understanding by identifying with Earth as your Self, your “other body”.

“The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures. It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of earth in numberless blades of grass and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers. It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth and death, in ebb and in flow. I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life. And my pride is from the life throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment.”  […]

Herbalism As Eco-Therapy ~ Part 2

The Way of The Wise Woman Wortcunner Work ~

Sensual Beings and Attractions

We are sensual beings – everything that we know about any part of the world – subtle to gross – is gathered through our sensory perceptions.

These days our senses have become dull – not necessarily because of our modern day world but because we have shut our self off from the source of our senses – Earth.  This has resulted in becoming disconnected from our natural rhythms and thus we have become somewhat handicapped in being able to access our full sensory potential.

By placing your self back into the ground of your beingness – back with Earth/Nature – you begin your process of reconnecting to your […]

Herbalism As Eco-Therapy- Part 1

Did you ever walk along outside and get a sense that you might have heard some message – or something?

Plants talk.  You know that by now. Plants continually are calling you to come join them in a journey through your mutli-dimensional awareness to the wholeness of yourself.

At its heart, herbal medicine is about taking the journey into deep healing for yourself. The plants have things to say to you about yourself, your personal healing, and how you can become the stewards of their secrets. They invite you to step into this deep healing and with their assistance carry it into yourself and in doing that take a step to heal the world.

Plants aren’t just remedies – they are consciousness. Each type of Plant carrying its […]

Nature Is Your Larger Body

“What we experience Nature experiences. And what Nature experiences we experience. You are Nature and Nature is you. All forms of conscious are one and the same. Just as every cell in your body is your body. Nature is your larger body. And you are Nature’s cell.

All consciousness -including Earth and beyond – are part of a global/universal community where we all share common sense (our commonly shared set of sensory perceptions) and we all have continuous and current communication flowing to, from, and through all for the well being of all.” ~MaryAnn Copson

The Festival of Brighid ~ The Quickener

In Ireland, Imbolc is called La Fheile Bride because it is the festival of the Goddess Brigid or Bride. Known also as Brigdhe, Bridie, Bree-je, and Brigit.  Brighid is the patroness of flocks, herds, and motherhood. In Ireland, Feb. 2 – Imbolc is the day of St. Brigit who has been known as the White Goddess and the “quickening Triple Muse”.

Imbolc was dedicated to the triple Brighid, who was believed to be born in a flaming house in the sun and usher in fertility and new life for the dead. At Imbolc Brighid’s Maiden Goddess form is celebrated.

Brighid’s colors were red, black, and white. Her sacred animals were the White Cow and sometimes the snake. Her flower was the […]

Autumn Equinox~ Beginning Your Cycle of Healing

Nature naturally takes us through seasonal cycles of birth, growth, decline, death, and regeneration. By aligning our self with Earth’s natural cycles, we provide our self with a framework to help us grow and evolve as we release our Wounds and Shadows, complete our Initiations, and set our next Evolutionary Tasks. These Seasonal Cycle of Healing ~Rites of Passage and Initiations bring us to wholeness as we pass again and again through their rhythms and cycles.

Are You Sustainable?

Autumn is a time for harvesting. It is a time to clean out the old and make room to put up the fruits of the summer. We gather all of the results of our hard labors of the spring and summer and put them […]

Autumn Prayer

Autumn Prayer

Be patient.

Allow your energy to move inward and downward.

Concentrate your attention.

Focus your power.

Be orderly and efficient.

Be faithful to your direction and intention.

Match your pace and rhythm to that of Nature at this time.

Long, slow, steady, concentrated.

Be at peace.

It’s not about power it’s about grace.

Know your self.

Loosen your grip and work within the rhythm.

Let things take care of themselves.

Do what is before you to do.

Do what it is at hand.

Reflections ~The Expected

In Reading the Greater Pattern, your task is not to just see the Expected- what looks like it is coming. It is not to ride the present/ past/ future time line and simply announce what is in the process of forming.

The Expected is in every moment blinking on and off – being formed and reformed by your very breath. Your task is to see beyond the Expected into the subtle realms. The realms where all possibilities exist.

Travel into this field of all possibilities and the subtle perturbations – the original ground of all – and  harmonize with the endless possibilities.

One need not undo and redo  the Expected- just unfold your creative force and jump the current time line  by-passing the Expected for the desired longing […]

Wise Woman Wortcunner~Nature Being Safe Other ~Guardian Plant Friend

“The formation of attraction relationships helps any entity, including your self, to be in a more full, stable, and secure way. The greater number of balanced supportive relationships an entity has, the more stable is its being.” Michael Cohen

Our brains develop in relationship to others. When we feel valued, loved, understood non-judgmentally – we feel we matter- and this sense of safety and security forms a foundation of resilience on which to build our continuing development and evolution.

When we are in relationships that stabilize us around a trustworthy sense of  acceptance and support we learn to develop trust in our competence and mastery and interact in the world from our inner sense of connection and security.

Establishing a secure relationship […]

Gwyl Mair and Imbolc- Tracking Our Shadow Work

Avalon Lunar Tradition

In the Avalon tradition, Imbolc is known as Gwyl Mair the second Great Grove Festival in the Wheel of the Year.
In the Lunar tradition of Avalon, Gwyl Mair is celebrated on the first full moon when the sun is in Aquarius. Gwyl Mair is known as the Feast of Mary to the Welsh and as Imbolc (In the Belly) to the Irish (celebrated on Feb. 2). Traditionally, the Celts had little outward activity during their harsh winters. Agricultural, social, and much government work came to a standstill as weather and other natural forces of winter drove people inside. It was a time of inactivity and inward focus for the Celtic Britons. Unlike the other Great […]

Happy Imbolc!

This morning, as I kindle the flame upon my hearth, I pray that the flame of Brighid may burn in my soul and the souls of all I meet today.

And may it warm those who are lonely, so all may know the comfort of Brighid’s love.

How to Make a St. Bridget’s Cross

St Bridget’s Cross was traditionally placed above the entrance to a home to ward off any disease. Making a St Bridget’s Cross is a custom in Ireland. The St Bridget’s Cross is made out of plants called rushes (Juncus effusus) for hanging above the entrances to dwellings to invoke the help of St Bridget in warding off disease. St Bridget’s Day is celebrated on the 1st February each year and the crosses are made at that time.

The Training ~ Descending to Emerge: Journey 2

Read Arriving Back on Avalon Descending To Emerge Journey 1 here

I have left the Caverns under the Tor and am desperately tired but in haste to make my way back to The Tor as I have such a great calling within to be there.

I arrive at the markers for the Dragon ley lines and there she is The Moon Dragon waiting for me. She smiles – she is very old but every flexible. She hands me my Staff and I begin the ascent up the hill.

I tell her I am tired and she just smiles and hastens several very small dragons to come along with me. It is dark and cold. But I have on my Glamour cloak […]

Arriving Back on Avalon ~Descending to Emerge: Journey 1

I am crossing over the lake in the Barge. It has been a long time since I have been on Avalon as I have been away on a mission in the Outer World. Always with Avalon with me though.

When I step out of the Barge my Guide is there to greet me. She is happy to see me (although we have not been separated). She hands me a warm cup of herbal mixture – tasting good even though I don’t usually like these drinks.

I know I am going right off to the Tor. And we start walking in that direction. It is night.

I pass by the Dragon line markers and deliberately make my way to the top of the Tor. My Guide stays with me.

At […]
